Understanding credits in LTX

Summary

Credits are the units that power your activity in LTX. Each time you generate or edit content, such as images, videos, or voiceovers, a number of credits are used. The amount depends on how much processing power your request requires. Paid plans include a set amount of credits that renew each month, with higher plans offering more.

What are credits?

Credits measure the amount of processing time needed for your generations in LTX. Whenever you create or edit content, credits are deducted from your account based on the task’s complexity. In short: the more complex the generation, the more credits it uses.

Understanding your plan's allowance

Each LTX plan includes a monthly allowance of credits. Higher-tier plans provide larger allowances, so you can choose one that best matches your usage needs.

• How many credits does each generation cost?

It depends on the task type and complexity. See this article for examples and breakdowns by generation type.

• When exactly will my credits reset?

Credits renew monthly for all users, whether you're on a monthly or annual plan. The exact reset date depends on your billing cycle. For example, if your subscription started on the 15th of the month, your cycle runs from the 15th to the 14th of the following month. Your credits balance will reset on the 15th of each month.

• How can I get more credits if I've run out?

If you’ve used up your monthly allowance, you can:

• Upgrade your plan: Unlock additional credits immediately. Review plans here.

• Wait for your monthly reset: Credits automatically refresh when your billing cycle renews.

If you regularly reach your limit, upgrading to a higher plan may provide better value.

• Can I just buy a one-time top-up without upgrading my plan?

One-time top-ups are not currently available, but we are actively exploring ideas for more flexible options for higher tiers. However, users can temporarily increase their allowance by upgrading their plan and then downgrading once they no longer need the extra credits.

• If I upgrade my plan, will I instantly get more credits?

Yes. Upgrades take effect right away, even if you’re midway through your current billing cycle. Any unused credits from your existing plan will remain available until that cycle ends.

• Do unused credits rollover into next month?

No, credits reset each month. For example, if your plan includes 28,000 credits per month, your balance will reset to 28,000 at the start of each new billing cycle.

If you often have unused credits, you may want to switch to a lower plan.

• Are credits deducted for a failed generation?

No. Credits are only deducted after a successful generation. If you believe your balance was reduced incorrectly, contact our Customer Support team and include logs or screenshots where possible.

 

• Are credits related to the real-time seconds it takes to generate something?

No. “Seconds” here don’t represent real-world time. 

For example, an image generated with the Flux model might take about eight seconds to process but could use 28 credits from your balance.

The number of credits reflects the model’s computational demand, not the time it takes to complete.
